Town and Country Veterinary Clinic is owned and operated by Dr. Dale Kaufman DVM and his wife Dr. Jeana S. Kaufman DVM. Dr. Jeana Kaufman Attended and graduated from Oklahoma State University-Veterinary School in 1988, where she obtained a Bachelors and Professional Degree. She moved to Russellville, AR shortly after she graduated and has been working at Town and Country for 20 years. Dr. Dale Kaufman (Doc as he is affectionately referred to) attended Arkansas Tech University where he obtained his bachelor’s degree then also attended Oklahoma State University-Veterinary School for his professional degree, graduating in 1979. He moved to Russellville, AR in 1982 and began working at Town and Country; he has been practicing veterinary medicine here for 25 years.
Doc and Jeana have four grown children. The eldest Dr. Kendra Kaufman is a veterinarian as well practicing at All for Pets in Cabot, AR. Their middle daughter Amy Kaufman lives in Kansas City, MO where she is a sales rep. for Nutrina Feeds. The youngest daughter Kristen Kaufman lives in Little Rock, AR where she is a nurse at Children’s Hospital and is currently going to school to become a nurse practioner. Their son Brandon Kaufman is living in Monticello, AR where he is attending the University of Arkansas at Monticello to obtain a degree in surveying. They have one grandchild, Keely Paige Kaufman, the daughter of Kristen Kaufman and Anthony Shepherd. They also have a Labradoodle, 3 Black Labs, a Kelpe, a Catahoula, 10 outside cats and 1 inside cat, Bunny.
When they are not at the clinic both Doc and Jeana enjoy fishing, hunting, several sports, and are active members at the local Catholic Church.
Both of our veterinarians are very skilled general practioners, this means that they are both experienced in many areas of medicine as well as surgery. They can be seen as your pet’s pediatrician, family doctor, a dentist, radiologist, and general surgeon. They are specialized in not only small animal but large and farm animals as well. Should any pet require a service beyond what we can offer, they will be able to refer you and your pet to a nearby specialist. This is only so we can provide your pet with the very best care available.
